'Positivity and Christianity in Hegel's Youth Writings': This first printing of the dissertation from 1953 shows clearly the philosophical background of Nipperdeys important historical work. His studies of idealistic-religious thinking of Hegel and Kierkegaard opens the view of the historian on the dialectical relationship of external circumstances and subjective creative power that comes to reality in the history of states und offers chances of more liberal constitutions.

Sebastian Böhm studied philosophy, sociology and political science in Dresden and Leipzig, where he received his doctorate in 2017. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Philosophy at TU Dresden. Since 2022, he has been a lecturer at the Institute of Philosophy at the FernUniversität in Hagen. He is currently representing a professorship in philosophy, in particular the history of philosophy from modern times to the present, at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Klaus Honrath studied economics from 1972 to 1977 at the Freie Universität Berlin. This was followed by studying Philosophy at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. From 2010 to 2019 he was scientific assistant at the Institute of Philosophy at the Fernuniversität in Hagen. Since 2020 he is lecturer at the same Institute.
