Beschreibung
Hibiscus sabdariffa is an important medicinal and nutritional plant because of its richness in phenolic compounds, which is a source of pharmacological properties. Our results show that the major compounds present in the petals of Hibiscus sabdariffa such as sabdaretin, gossypetine, hibiscetin, quercetin, delphinidin 3-O-sambubioside and cyanidin 3-O-sambubioside whose hepatoprotective activities, cardioprotective, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory are known, demonstrates the enormous therapeutic potential of this plant. The non-alcoholic beverage commonly known as bissap is produced from the petals of H. sabdariffa, we can argue that the consumption of this drink could have beneficial effects for the protection of the liver and heart as well as strengthening antioxidant and anti -Inflammation of the body.
