Beschreibung

E-Learning is a non-linear type of text that needs to precede different reading strategies to perform independently. E-Learning offers a great opportunity to read without the limitation of time and location. Nowadays in synchronous transmission, students and instructors are simultaneously connected through the Internet to read online, while being miles away. Moreover, students become more independent and responsible for their own reading and learning. Therefore, it would be implied that online reading makes improvements in the quality of learning. Learners'characteristics also influence their E-Learning strategies. Locus of control refers to internal (effective personal force) and external (effective environmental force. Learners with an internal locus of control have the characteristic of being able to work harder to achieve their goal independently and they spend more time to study and believe in their own ability to control their learning and the reinforcements in their learning. This book focuses on adult learners with an internal locus of control and the use of interactional reading strategies used for online texts.
